These drawings emerged over a sustained stretch of studio work in early 2025, built from direct observation and a willingness to move quickly. The focus shifts freely—between head studies, full figures, and occasional explorations of color—allowing each session to find its own direction without overdetermining the result.
Some of these works carry forward into more developed paintings, while others arrive at a kind of quiet completion on the page. Taken together, they mark a period of looseness and experimentation—where the act of looking, adjusting, and responding remains at the center of the work.
