All Simonson posters, prints, drawings and paintings can be safely rolled, so they are shipped in double-wall heavy-duty mailing tubes, by regular insured mail or by Registered Mail, depending on the value of the shipment. Over the past 25 years, we have safely shipped tens of thousands of works of art all over the world.

SHIPPING CHARGES

ABOUT SHIPPING METHODS

We ship via U.S. First Class or Registered Mail, and we insure all shipments valued at $100 or more, when they include original art. Because shipping artwork flat leaves the art more vulnerable (with the exception of smaller works like MiniPosters), we prefer to ship art rolled. All Simonson art, with rare exceptions, is on paper or canvas and can be safely rolled up. We use heavy-duty double-wall mailing tubes to protect the art. Read the section below for more information on shipping art to non-U.S. destinations.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT SHIPPING ART OUTSIDE THE U.S.

We use regular mail service to ship art all over the world. When we ship to collectors outside the U.S., quite often the maximum possible insurance is $500 (in some cases less). When the value of the artwork exceeds the available amount of insurance, you should consider the following options:

(1) Accepting the Risk. In this case, you pay the standard shipping fee (usually ) and we insure the art for the maximum amount ( or less). If art is damaged or lost, you are responsible for the amount of loss which exceeds the amount of insurance. In other words, we can only refund you the amount we can recover from the insurer. By paying us the standard shipping fee, you are accepting all risks beyond the amount of insurance the postal carrier will sell us for that package.

(2) Air-Freight Service. In some cases we can ship art via an air-freight service who will insure it for the full value. In this case, costs of shipping and insurance may be several hundred dollars--but you are better protected against possible loss or damage to the art.

Although we cannot guarantee the art's safety in every case, we can tell you that over the past 18 years we have shipped thousands of works of art to over 40 countries, and the frequency of loss or damage has been almost zero.Nevertheless, nothing in life is certain, and it's our responsibility to state clearly to you what risks you are assuming when you authorize us to ship art to you.
